What has changed a year later?
Simply everything. Not only have I lost 25 kilos, I have also got a body, which I never thought I would have. It still feels strange sometimes to have these muscles I have today. Suffering from a weak lower back is history also. And this thanks to weight lifting!
What are the main benefits you have had with semi-personal training that you wouldn’t have had training by yourself or with a personal trainer, 1 to 1?
I always get very excited about new things, but my problem is that I get bored very easily and lose my interest. After one year I haven’t yet been bored once. Having a training partner is fun, it’s like meeting friends regularly. And fun we have!
Has what you have done in the gym had any effect on your life outside the gym?
In many ways. The training has made me a much stronger person even mentally. I’m happier, calmer and more confident. It’s also amazing how you can use the techniques you have learned in a daily life, for example the right way to lift heavy things.
Do you feel that the money and effort you have invested has been well spent?
More than well spent! Sometimes people wonder how I can afford to do this, but it’s simply about life choices. We all spend money on something, I chose this and I don’t think that it’s a bad investment at all, totally the opposite!
Would you recommend semi-personal training and why?
Absolutely and I do that all the time! I can’t help myself to want to share this information with others. I’m just so glad that I found this type of training as obviously it suits me. I think it’s a good compromise between training on your own and having an own trainer.
Anything else you would like to add?
If you want to get fit or lose weight, stop planning and start today! With your trainer’s support and encouragement you can’t fail as he or she is there to push you. You are also unlikely tempted to cheat as there is someone following your progress.
